Located in the Historic Center of Guadix, called Casa de los Martos, noble character, dates from the Year 1771.

Guadix is ​​one of the most appreciated tourist destinations in the province of Granada. It has outstanding historical value both for its geographical location and for its important archaeological and architectural heritage. It was a Roman colony, the first Christian city, episcopal seat and capital of the Nasrid kingdom. Today, located on the edge of the UNESCO World Geopark, thirty minutes from the capital and the Puerto de la Ragua Recreational Station (Sierra Nevada).Its monumental historic center brings together an important heritage in which the medieval Arab Alcazaba, the Cathedral and various Mudejar-style buildings stand out, although the most characteristic of this town are its original cave-dwelling neighborhoods.

The House:

Built in the 18th century, it is a noble house in the heart of the city.

At present it maintains some original elements despite the fact that in the 20th century a reform was carried out that modified the original appearance. The main façade is divided into three non-symmetric heights. The first body, the entrance, has three openings, of which the central one is the access to the house. This, with lintel architecture, is made of stone like the rest of the lower body. This body is made up of the main access (17m2) bordering on the left with a hall (15m2) royal entrance, living compartments (24m2) on the right and a covered patio area (17m2). The interior of the house is divided around a 63m2 quadrangular central patio. Both in the rooms and in the patio there is a decoration painted with plant motifs. The access patio to two storage rooms of 21 and 25m2.

Access to the second body is through a marble staircase (15m2) that through a corridor (38m2) allows access to the master bedroom (36m2), bathroom (9m2), kitchen (17m2), living room (30m2) and bedrooms. of 12 and 16m2. The second body of the façade has three openings. One of them, the central one, is a larger cantilevered balcony corresponding to the dining room.

Finally, on the upper floor, we find two small square openings under the wide dust cover decorated with architectural motifs. Next to the openings are the sun rooms with an area of ​​59 m2, capable of being converted into three bedrooms with their corresponding bathrooms. This room gives access to the terrace where the glass roof of the patio is located. An 11m2 distributor allows access to two storage rooms of 12 and 16m2.

The constructed area of ​​the house is 581 m2, with a useful area of ​​482m2. It needs and allows specific reforms for its optimization
